LLM-Based Conversational Interfaces as Interpretation Layers in Digital Twin Systems

An AI-powered conversational assistant that transforms complex heart-rate and activity data into clear, easy-to-understand explanations. Built using a RAG + LLM architecture, the system ensures responses are grounded in real data while remaining transparent and user-friendly.

Multi-Sensory Spaces for Couples with Dementia

Applying multi-sensory design principles to create environments that address both the functional needs and emotional well-being of couples living with dementia. As designers, we aim to enhance safety, promote connection, and support the relational dynamics of residents, providing a holistic solution to improve quality of users life.

Human-Robot Communication

Built a non-verbal social robot using Arduino, Dialogflow, Python, and SolidWorks, focusing on multi-modal communication for emotional support in pediatric recovery rooms.

Flexible Cystoscopy Simulator Prototype

Designed and tested an electromechanical prototype with haptic feedback, linked to a 3Dmodel simulating the endourological system during flexible cystoscopy in healthy andpathological conditions.

AI & Digital Health Research Engineer Intern

As one of the first contributors to this research initiative at the company, I led the design and deployment of an end-to-end LLM-powered system from scratch to interpret heart-rate data and translate hourly physiological summaries into clear, user-friendly language. The goal was to help people better understand their own health signals, not just raw values, but meaningful explanations they could actually act on. I defined the architecture and built the pipeline using RAG, FAISS vector search, Ollama-hosted local models, and Python-based evaluation workflows, continuously testing and refining the prototype through technical benchmarks and real user studies. Throughout the project, data security, privacy, and ethical considerations were treated as core design constraints, guiding decisions around local model deployment and sensitive health data handling to ensure outputs were not only reliable, but responsible and trustworthy.

Before moving into AI and UX, I worked on the front lines of healthcare technology, ensuring that critical medical and imaging equipment functioned safely and reliably in a hospital environment. I performed preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, installations, and staff training to keep devices operational, where downtime could directly impact patient care. Working closely with clinicians taught me the importance of precision, safety, and trust in high-stakes systems, a mindset that continues to shape how I design and evaluate technology today.
